CompTIA and OnForce Team to Raise Skill Levels of IT Service Professionals
Oakbrook Terrace, Ill., August 7, 2008 The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA), the leading trade association for the world’s information technology (IT) industry, and OnForce, the world’s largest marketplace for IT service professionals, announced today that they are working together to bring training and certification opportunities to more than 12,000 IT technicians.
The two industry leaders will collaborate on a number of programs aimed at raising the certified technical skills of IT professionals and helping them grow their businesses.
The cooperation between CompTIA and OnForce will combine industry-leading skills development and professional certifications with the industrys largest source for contract service professionals.
“CompTIA certifications provide IT workers with internationally recognized, respected credentials that validate their technical proficiency and professionalism,” said Richard Rysiewicz, vice president, services, CompTIA. “We are extremely pleased to be working with OnForce to further build on the strong skills and qualifications their service professionals already have. We look forward to future collaborations, and launching more learning and certification programs with OnForce in the future.”

As part of the ongoing effort, OnForces community of more than 12,000 contract professionals can earn several CompTIA certifications, including CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ and Server+. Members of the OnForce community will also have access to CompTIA membership and other training and certification opportunities.

Both organizations agree that maintaining the right certifications is critical for IT professionals to successfully grow their business and their technical acumen.
